Every day I receive a large number of campaign e-mails from constituents regarding a range of national and global policy issues. These are normally standard text e-mails sent as part of an e-campaign through websites such as 38 Degrees and Change.org. All campaign e-mails received by constituents are read and logged on our system and I always aim to take appropriate action such as writing to the Government Department responsible, raising the issue directly in Parliament or by signing an Early Day Motion (EDM).
In order to manage the sheer volume of campaign correspondence and better communicate with constituents who have contacted me as part of an e-campaign, I am publishing on this page the action taken, response received from the Government Department, or my position on the issue.
If you have contacted me as part of an e-campaign, please check below for the campaign, which are filed under topics. I try and publish responses as soon as possible after first being contacted about an issue but during busy periods this can sometimes take longer so please bear with me if the response has not yet been uploaded. You can always contact my office by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org to ask for an update.
