Norman Lamb, Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for North Norfolk, will tomorrow visit Barkers Herne Sheltered Housing in Cromer. Tomorrow marks the tenth anniversary of the official opening of Barkers Herne, and members of the public have been invited to join the celebrations.

Liz Fellowes, who manages the homes, said: "Sheltered housing is not the end of the line. There's always something to look forward to. If you can't enjoy yourself when you're retired, then when can you?"

Norman Lamb said: "I am looking forward to visiting Barkers Herne and seeing for myself the range of activities that the residents take part in."

Barkers Herne residents enjoy a History Group, computer lessons and social events such as 'winter picnics'.
