Lamb Backs Meeting Hill Speed Limit Campaign

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 18th Aug 2003

Norman Lamb, Liberal Democrat MP for North Norfolk, has written to the Director of Planning and Transportation at Norfolk County Council backing local calls for a 30 miles an hour limit through Meeting Hill.

Residents of Meeting Hill, a small hamlet near North Walsham, complain of speeding cars on roads which are not wide enough to allow two vehicles to pass.

Mr Lamb writes: "Given that the neighbouring communities of White Horse Common and Briggate both have 30mph speed limits, there is no justification for Meeting Hill having to continue any longer having to endure a 60mph limit".
