Lamb Welcomes Digital Hearing Aids Announcement

12.00.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Fri 11th Apr 2003

Norman Lamb, the Liberal Democrat MP for North Norfolk, has welcomed the announcement by the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital NHS Trust that its application for funding the provision of digital hearing aids has been successful.

"This is excellent news," said Mr Lamb. "While there is still a little way to go before the service is implemented and digital hearing aids provided to those who need them in Norfolk, I am very pleased that this will be happening.

"A lot of people have written to me about this issue, and it is no wonder when you consider how great the benefits of digital hearing aids are. The announcement that they will now be available to people in Norfolk is long overdue."
