The Liberal Democrat MP for North Norfolk, Norman Lamb, has announced that he has secured an all-party meeting with Stephen Ladyman, the new Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department of Health, to discuss the serious funding shortfall facing the NHS in Norfolk.

Mr Lamb has been told that if further issues arise as a result of these discussions, he can request a further follow-up meeting with the Secretary of State, John Reid.

"It is important for Norfolk MPs to work together on this issue," said Norman Lamb. "I am particularly concerned to ensure that Norfolk gets the best deal possible from any refinancing of the PFI contract for the new Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital."
