MP Launches 2003 Village Surgery Tour

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 5th Aug 2003

Norman Lamb, the Liberal Democrat MP for North Norfolk, has announced this year's programme for his annual travelling surgery tour of villages in the constituency.

The tour will take place from Monday 1 to Friday 5 September. Once again, Mr Lamb has introduced a number of new stops into his schedule, which will include 59 surgeries in different locations right across North Norfolk. At each place, there will be the opportunity to talk to the local MP about issues of concern, which he will then raise with the relevant authorities.

As usual, arrangements will be quite informal. Anyone who wants to talk to Norman at any of the locations should simply turn up at the given time. There is no need to book an appointment, though it would be helpful for people who know they intend to be at any of the locations to let Mr Lamb's office know beforehand, to give some idea of possible numbers.

"Once again, I am really looking forward to the village tour," said Norman Lamb.

"I am aware that some people do not have the opportunity to attend my regular surgeries in the larger towns, so a tour like this plays a very important role, especially in a predominantly rural area like North Norfolk. Please don't hesitate to come along!"
