Hundreds Of North Norfolk Residents Could Be Missing Out On Water Rebates

Norman Lamb has been contacted by a constituent, Joyce Goodwin of Blenheim Park, Sculthorpe, regarding rebates to her water bill for surface water drainage.

Mr Lamb said: "Mrs Goodwin has been eligible for a reduced standing charge as she lives in a property not connected to surface water drainage, but she has paid the full fee for the past 3 years. I am told that customers are entitled to a rebate for charges made back to April 1st 2003, but not for charges made before that date. It is necessary then for people eligible to rebates to apply as soon as possible".

Joyce Goodwin commented: "I wonder what Anglian Water would say to me if I had underpaid by £90 in the last three years? I doubt very much I would be allowed to get away with it".

Norman Lamb said: "Anglian Water told Mrs Goodwin that she was the first person from Blenheim Park to ask about the rebate. I have written to every resident of Blenheim Park with Cllr Keith Welsh to let them know of their possible entitlement to a rebate and how to find out."
