Norman Lamb promoted to Liberal Democrat Shadow Cabinet

Norman Lamb, Liberal Democrat MP for North Norfolk, has been promoted by Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy onto the Shadow Cabinet. Mr Lamb will be trade and industry spokesman.

"I am delighted with the opportunity that has been given to me," said Norman Lamb. "I look forward to building links with the business community in Norfolk."

"But North Norfolk will always come first," added Mr Lamb.
