Anthea Sweeney, Liberal Democrat Councillor for the Chaucer Ward of North Norfolk District Council.

Anthea Sweeney was elected on the 8th September as Liberal Democrat Councillor for the Chaucer Ward of North Norfolk District Council. The election was called following the sad death of Anthea's husband John Sweeney, who was Chair of the Council and a former Leader.

The result was:

Lib Dem Anthea Sweeney 490 (53%, +4% on 2003 result)

Con 395 (43%, -3%)

Lab 32 (3%, +3%)

Lib Dem hold.

Turnout: approx 48%
