Norman Lamb Questions Unreliable Train Service

12.00.00am GMT Mon 24th Mar 2008

Norman Lamb MP has challenged Network Rail over its failure to complete works on time for this morning's rush hour on the Norwich to Liverpool Street line, "As one of thousands of commuters affected, I find it totally frustrating that they have failed to get things done on time. I am writing to Network Rail raising my concerns. This sort of experience leaves train users feeling exasperated.

Norman Lamb took part in a Select Committee-style session (together with Ian Gibson and Richard Bacon) on an inquiry into the state of the train services in December, 2006 and has long been attempting to secure constructive improvements for the service.
