Provided in partnership with Adult Social Services, this specially equipped room demonstrates how Assistive Technology can support independence and safe living within a person's own home. This is the first Smart Home to be easily accessible in rural North Norfolk and now local residents and professionals can visit and view the range of equipment on offer.
Norman said he was immensely impressed by the service, which he described as "the future of health and social care in action". He further praised the benefit it may have on both patients and the NHS, "It is a wonderful demonstration of how we can help people self care and be kept at home rather than ending up in residential care and avoiding emergency admissions to hospital".
