"Public safety is a key concern of local residents and this must not be sacrificed at any cost."

Norman Lamb, MP for North Norfolk has expressed his concern for a police move to scrap 29 Police 999 response teams in Norfolk, "As the MP for a rural area I'm particularly concerned about the absolute need for a rapid response to 999 calls. North Norfolk does not have a road network that facilitates high speed travel over long distances and I am alarmed at this report which advocates the scrapping of rapid response teams in local towns in favour of a central base."

"Public safety is a key concern of local residents and this must not be sacrificed at any cost."

"I am writing to the Chief Constable to express my concerns over this report. I am also asking to meet with the Chief Constable or one of his senior officers so that I can get a full briefing."
