Lamb's Parliamentary Campaign for Transparency for Minister's Meetings Achieves Success

North Norfolk MP, Norman Lamb's campaign to make the meetings of top government Ministers public knowledge has today achieved success.

Norman Lamb, Liberal Democrat MP has led the push to have this information in the public domain, said: "Slowly but surely the veil of secrecy around Whitehall is being lifted, despite mandarins having to be dragged kicking and screaming to release the information."

The campaign which was initiated in 2005 by Norman Lamb, now means Ministers will now have to declare their meetings and bring them into the public domain. The details of meetings Tony Blair had with Cormac Murphy O'Connor, Rupert Murdoch and Sven Goran-Erikksson's former girlfriend, Nancy Dell'Olio have now been released as a result of today's news.
