Norman Lamb selected as Liberal Democrat candidate for North Norfolk

Norman Lamb has been officially adopted as the Liberal Democrat candidate for North Norfolk. The nomination was confirmed at a special meeting in Cromer on Thursday night and papers were filed with the returning officer on Friday.
Speaking at the meeting, the Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lord's Lord McNally, said he was proud to be in North Norfolk speaking in support of Norman's nomination.
"I'm here because since I have known Norman I have watched him grow from being an excellent candidate into a fantastic Member of Parliament.
"He has made a huge impact speaking up for North Norfolk and leading the health debate as Liberal Democrat Shadow Secretary of State of Health.
"I've seen him develop into a Parliamentarian of real stature and become a respected voice in national politics. He is exactly the sort of person we need in Parliament.
Commenting on his selection, Norman Lamb said:
"I am thrilled to have been reselected as the Liberal Democrat candidate.
"It has been an enormous honour representing North Norfolk and it is my fervent hope that i can secure re-election to continue the work I have been doing over the past nine years.
